Gardening is better when we do it together
If you grow food, you have probably seen this:
- You harvest more zucchinis or tomatoes than you can eat in a week.
- You need a specific tool, like a wheelbarrow or broadfork, for only a day or two.
- You want to try new heirloom varieties without buying full seed packets.
- You wish you could donate your extra produce to neighbors and local food banks or community pantries.
Plentifully helps you turn that extra abundance into swaps and donations that stay in your neighborhood.
How to Start Swapping
1. Join your local hub
Sign up and choose the Twin Cities neighborhood or hub that is closest to you.
“You choose the Twin Cities hub that is nearest to your home.”
2. List what you have or request what you need
Post your surplus harvest, tools, seeds, or create a simple request for what you are looking for.
“You post 10 extra zucchini and mention that you are hoping to swap for herbs or compost.”
3. Match and chat with neighbors
Our matching tools and local hub structure help connect you with nearby neighbors who have what you need or need what you have.
“A neighbor offers their extra basil and a wheelbarrow loan in exchange for your zucchini.”
4. Swap at a public pickup hub
Meet at a designated public pickup hub in your neighborhood to make the exchange in a safe, visible location.
“You both meet at the local public pickup hub on Saturday morning to complete the swap.”
Got extra to give, not to swap?
Mark your listing as a donation and we will help connect it with neighbors and Twin Cities food banks or community pantries near you. No 1-to-1 trade required. You choose what you are able to give and when you can drop it off, and we help route it where it is needed most.
